Loose Upsorb in sacks is specially made to be used on water. It is particularly useful when a spill is contained inside a after which you can spray the flocculated foam onto the contained oil. This can then be vacuumed or skimmed away. Once Upsorb has attached itself to the oil it will not allow the oil to smear on to anything that comes into contact with it. This is especially significant where bird life or beaches are concerned and also helps as it avoids smearing the clean-up vehicles and equipment that comes into contact with Upsorb.
Upsorb flakes are specially suited for use in environmentally sensitive areas.
